Tallon Griekspoor will look to continue his success on home soil when he takes on Alexei Popyrin in the second round in Den Bosch. Griekspoor, whose best surface is grass, should be delighted by the surface change after an inconsistent clay season. Popyrin has just three tour-level wins in his career on the surface, but his powerful serve and baseline aggression should play well in Den Bosch. In what should be a back-and-forth match, the home crowd will help lift Griekspoor to victory.

Alex de Minaur vs Laslo Djere
Head-to-Head: de Minaur 2-0 Djere
Alex de Minaur holds a 15-7 grasscourt record over the last two seasons. The Aussie will look to build off that impressive mark when he takes on Laslo Djere in Round 2 in Den Bosch. Djere cruised to a straight-set victory in his opener against Ricardas Berankis but has just four career tour-level wins on the surface. De Minaur plays well on the faster surfaces and should be able to push the Serbian around the court. Given the conditions, I do not see de Minaur having trouble finding the finish line.

Milos Raonic vs Jordan Thompson
Head-to-Head: Raonic 1-0 Thompson
Milos Raonic returned to the Tour for the first time in nearly two years when he took down Miomir Kecmanovic earlier this week. The former world No. 3 looked fluid in the victory, knocking 15 aces and winning 34/37 of his first-serve points. The athletic Aussie Jordan Thompson will look to force Raonic into longer baseline rallies, testing the fitness and consistency of the Canadian. Thompson holds an 11-3 record since the start of May and has the form to bother Raonic. I expect him to take advantage of the Canadians’ lack of match fitness in a deciding set.

Daniil Medvedev vs Adrian Mannarino
Head-to-Head: Medvedev 2-3 Mannarino
Daniil Medvedev returns to the court for the first time since dropping a Round 1 five-set match at Roland Garros. He holds a 15-5 record on the grass over the last two seasons and should welcome the switch to the surface. He gets a tricky Round 2 opponent in Frenchman Adrian Mannarino. Mannarino holds a 3-2 head-to-head advantage over Medvedev but did lose to the Russian at this event last season. I expect a similar result in this match. Mannarino is just 2-7 previous last nine matches, and Medvedev will be hungry to return to his winning ways.
