Carlos Alcaraz vs Lorenzo Musetti
Carlos Alcaraz won their only meeting (in 2020), this is a great young gun matchup for this 500 level clay court title in Hamburg. Musetti, who won a challenger title on clay before the grass court season, hasn’t dropped a set in his last three matches including with a semifinal win over Francisco Cerundolo. Musetti had a first-round battle with Dusan Lajovic but has improved and shown clutch play in every match since.
Alcaraz made quick work of Alex Molcan in the semis and looks to be in similar red-hot form, he struggled with Nicola Kuhn in the opening round and then has cruised into form. Both these players prefer clay and are capable of some scintillating tennis, Alcaraz has a higher ceiling and more consistency though. He should lift yet another ATP title this week. Alcaraz in 2
