Ivana Jorovic vs Jacqueline Cristian
Don’t let Jorovic’s ranking fool you. She’s a recent Top 100 player and has performed admirably against solid players. Cristian has been stronger on hard courts than on clay this year. This should be a tight match, but don’t be shocked if Jorovic pulls it off.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich vs Timea Babos
Sasnovich is a huge talent who for some reason just can’t perform outside of big events. She is good for upsets every once in a while, but she’s hard to rely on. Then again, Babos is in her decline and hasn’t been playing well at all recently. She can definitely lose this match if she tries, but Sasnovich should be considered the favorite.

Danielle Collins vs Martina Di Giuseppe
Collins has been impressive on tour after her surgery for endometriosis. She is playing well on all surfaces. Di Guiseppe, meanwhile, is competing on the ITF Tour, and her results aren’t particularly impressive. Expect Collins to roll.

Julia Grabher vs Bernarda Pera
Grabher actually pulled off an upset in the first round of Wimbledon qualifying, but she’s had middling results in ITF events all year. Clay is her best surface, and she won an ITF title back in April, but she will be outclassed by the American in this. Expect Pera to move on easily.
