Petra Kvitova vs Rebecca Sramkova
The qualifier Sramkova has a tough task ahead of her, Sramkova, who’s highest career ranking is 111, has a very limited resume of WTA Tour level matches and is taking on an experienced opponent who will be smarting from her defeat in the opening round of Wimbledon and looking to get off to a good start at home. Lizette Cabrera vs Asia Muhammad
The qualifier Muhammad has a winnable matchup against Cabrera, who has played a very limited schedule this season. Maddison Inglis vs Tereza Smitkova
Inglis is yet another Australian player who has only played in limited matches this season, still, this season accounts for all of her WTA Tour main draw career wins, Smitkova had a massive 2015 season and reached the WTA top 60, only to fall off the map after that. This isn’t an easy matchup to predict but Smitkova is playing closer to home and almost qualified for Wimbledon, I give her a slight edge. Smitkova in 2
Sam Stosur vs Grace Min
One of these players will break a long losing streak in this match, Stosur has the resume but simply isn’t the player she was, it’s been a very difficult European Summer for the famous Australian. Min’s quest to return to the WTA top 100 has gone nowhere for a couple of years now as she’s been unable to win matches at this tour level. My gut tells me Stosur is the one who walks away with a confidence boosting win. Stosur in 3
