ATP Eastbourne Quarterfinal Predictions Including Max Purcell vs Andreas Seppi

Max Purcell ATP Eastbourne 2021

The ATP Eastbourne quarterfinals feature some unheralded players like Max Purcell and Ilya Ivashka still in contention for the title. Here is your look at all the action as the semifinals will be set after Thursday’s play.

Max Purcell vs Andreas Seppi

The veteran Seppi won their only meeting (on clay), as a lucky loser he’s won two matches in straight sets to reach this stage, he’s comfortable on grass even if he’s far away from his best tennis and can clearly trouble any opposition on the surface. Purcell as a lucky loser has won two matches in three sets and has a much thinner resume. This is not the easiest match to predict, but Seppi is a clear favorite going into the match with his experience and his tricky game. Seppi in 3

Alex de Minaur vs Vasek Pospisil

de Minaur leads the h2h 3-0, his record this season is good and he’s made at least the quarterfinals of all three of his grass court tournaments this season. A Wimbledon dark horse in the making is what de Minaur looks right now after semis at Queens Club, quarters in Stuttgart, and at least the quarterfinals here. Pospisil has played a limited schedule this season, but he’s had a good week so far. de Minaur remains the heavy favorite though given the h2h and his excellent grass court game and form. de Minaur in 2

Lorenzo Sonego vs Alexander Bublik

Sonego leads the h2h 2-1, Bublik is playing really well during the best season of his career though. Sonego is likewise having, if not the best year of his career, one of the best, and he’s proving himself on grass. Sonego could very well win this, but Bublik is playing with a lot of confidence right now and his game is well suited for grass. Bublik in 3

Ilya Ivashka vs Kwon Soon-woo

Ivashka won their Miami meeting earlier this year and leads the h2h 2-1, Kwon is a lucky loser who has had a few solid results this season and already has the most ATP wins this season as he’s had in any previous season. The South Korean has plenty of talent, Ivashka has been in great form since the qualifiers though, his game on grass should get him through a difficult match up. Ivashka in 3
