ATP Mallorca Day 1 Predictions Including Jan-Lennard Struff vs Adrian Mannarino

Final round qualification matches and the first round 1 main draw matches take place in Mallorca, Spain on the grass courts as players make their final preparations for Wimbledon. Here is your look at day 1’s ATP main draw singles action including Adrian Mannarino’s match.

Jordan Thompson vs Pablo Andujar

Andujar won their match in Geneva on clay this year, although Thompson is much more comfortable on grass, and Andujar is not. Thompson is 2-2 in two grass court tournaments and is playing well enough he should be able to ease past Andujar, who is practically allergic to grass. Thompson in 2

Jan-Lennard Struff vs Adrian Mannarino

Mannarino is in terrible form though he did win a match at Queen’s club and is historically good on grass. Struff had a nice run at Roland Garros, reaching the second week, and is looking to continue to build on his positive momentum this season. A second round exit on home soil in Halle was not the best, but he did upset Daniil Medvedev in the opening round. Mannarino is capable of conjuring better form on grass than other surfaces, but Struff should have the advantage here all the same. Struff in 3

Jaume Munar vs Tennys Sandgren

Munar had a good clay court season, but he’s winless on grass in his career. Sandgren has struggled all season, and especially didn’t taking a liking to clay. Both players are desperate for a win here and this match is probably not going to be played at the highest quality. Munar’s caliber of tennis is higher this year though so he should have a slight edge. Munar in 2
