Tomova continues her quest to break into the top 100 and has reached this stage of the tournament as a lucky loser in qualifier. Her best result of 2021 was semis in Bogota on clay. Radivojevic is a 16 year old junior with very little pro experience. Anything is possible, but the safe is Tomova taking advantage of this draw and winning her first match as a lucky loser. Olga Danilovic vs Kamilla Rakhimova
Rakhimova leads the h2h 2-0, including a win this year in one of the Australian tournaments. Rakhimova is on a bit of a hot streak, qualifying after reaching the final of an ITF tournament in Zagreb. She’s been excellent in WTA qualifying tournaments this season despite limited success at the WTA main draw tour level. The former top 100 Danilovic reached an ITF semifinal, but has also struggled at the main tour level this season. Given the h2h and form factor, Rakhimova will be favored against the home player. Nina Stojanovic vs Rebecca Peterson
In Peterson’s first tournament in months, she reached the quarterfinals in Saint-Malo, she also won the only h2h meeting between these players.
