WTA Serbia Open Day 2 Predictions Including Kaja Juvan vs Yulia Putintseva

Kaja Juvan Adelaide 2021

WTA Serbia Open (WTA Belgrade) will get into full swing on Monday with a full slate of matches featuring Leylah Fernandez, Kaja Juvan, Shuai Zhang and others. Here is your look at all the action on the day.

Kaja Juvan vs Yulia Putintseva

Juvan and Putintseva are both .500 on the season but Putintseva has played more WTA main draw matches and has the higher ranking. This is their first meeting, but Putintseva has more of a resume on clay. Both players are seeking form here, I’ll give Putintseva a slight edge. Putintseva in 3

Shuai Zhang vs Maria Camila Osorio Serrano

Osorio Serrano won Bogota at home, qualified for this tournament, and in between reached the semis in Charleston’s second tournament, all on clay. Zhang has slipped to 0-7 on the season and is, to put it simply, playing some of the worst tennis of her career. At some point things must turn around for Zhang, but Osorio Serrano is a tough player on this surface and was good in qualifying. An upset on paper doesn’t look like that much of an upset when you compare form. Osorio Serrano in 2

Ivana Jorovic vs Ajla Tomljanovic

Tomljanovic is 8-11 on the season, but has been better in recent weeks, qualifying in both Madrid and Rome, Jorovic has been extremely limited this season despite a credible 2020. Tomljanovic will be a strong favorite in the first meeting between these players and has a credible shot to win it all this week. Tomljanovic in 2

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova vs Lola Radivojevic

Radivojevic is just 16 and making her WTA main draw debut as a wild card this week. She has very little resume going into this match. The experienced Pavlyuchenkova is not going to be an easy out, she just reached the semis in Madrid for her best tournament result of the season and will look to back that up with an even better week in Belgrade.
