Harriet Dart vs Viktoria Kuzmova

Dart upset Heather Watson after qualifying. Kuzmova, despite being ranked much higher, just won her first match since last August. Dart is the reliable choice here.

Jasmine Paolini vs Anna Karolina Schmiedlova

Paolini beat Schmiedlova three times in 2018. The Slovakian is playing a bit better and this should be a close match, but the head-to-head record means we have to go with Paolini.
Prediction: Paolini in 3

Kaja Juvan vs Sara Sorribes Tormo

Seven matches won on the trot for Sorribes Tormo, while Juvan has her own three match winning streak as a qualifier. These are two of the strongest players in this field, and if fatigue doesn’t get the best of Sorribes Tormo she’ll win another match here.
