ATP Acapulco Day 2 Predictions Including Fabio Fognini vs Stefano Travaglia

Montreal Rogers Cup Fabio Fognini

We move on to Day 2 of the ATP Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco on Tuesday, with ten matches on the slate. There should be some great tennis at this ATP 500 event, and we’re going to predict every match for you. This article looks at three matches, and we have two other articles as well. One features Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Benoit Paire, and the other highlights Grigor Dimitrov vs Adrian Mannarino.

ATP Acapulco Day 2 Predictions

Lorenzo Musetti vs Diego Schwartzman

Musetti came through qualifying here with a fairly lucky draw, but he definitely isn’t lucky in his main draw matchup here. Schwartzman has been a bit off from his best this year, yes, but he’s coming off a win (albeit on clay) and looks to be finding his form again. Even not at his best, though, the Argentine is still just a much better player than Musetti is. This won’t be a close match.
Prediction: Schwartzman in 2

Miomir Kecmanovic vs Feliciano Lopez

Kecmanovic is talented but inconsistent, at least for now. He’ll likely become more consistent with age and experience, but he isn’t there yet. Lopez, meanwhile, is playing surprisingly well and consistently for his age, but he is aging. Still, the serve is strong and the courts should suit him. I think the Spaniard can win a tiebreak or two and pull through this match.
Prediction: Lopez in 3

Fabio Fognini vs Stefano Travaglia

Predicting Fognini’s matches is always a fun but impossible task. No one can every truly guess just how the mercurial Italian will play. Will he bring his best? Or will he throw away a match? Luckily for him, he’s facing an opponent he shouldn’t struggle with on a hard court. Of course, Fognini is capable of losing against anyone, but I think he’ll be able to get through this one.
Prediction: Fognini in 2
