WTA Acapulco Day 4 Predictions Including Heather Watson vs Christina McHale

Christina McHale

Home hero Renata Zarazua and Heather Watson are among the players who have reached the quarterfinals at the 2020 Mexican Open (WTA Acapulco). Here are all your quarterfinal predictions including Heather Watson vs Christina McHale.

Renata Zarazua vs Tamara Zidansek

A battle of young talents, both 1997 born players are seeking a spot in the semifinals. Zidansek has blitzed past her first two matches including a routine win against Kaja Juvan. Zarazua has home support but it seems she has finally met her match here. Zidansek in 2

Anastasia Potapova vs Leylah Annie Fernandez

The qualifier Fernandez hasn’t dropped more than 4 games in a single set thus far but Potapova has reached the quarterfinals two tournament outings in a row and I feel she’ll extend that result at least one more match reaching the semis. Potapova in 3

Heather Watson vs Christina McHale

McHale has a 3-1 h2h edge but fatigue could be a factor given she’s coming off of two straight challenging three set matches. The winner of this match is likely the favorite to take the whole tournament so the stakes are high. I’ll back McHale in a coin flip. McHale in 3

Lin Zhu vs Xiyu Wang

Zhu has a 2-0 h2h advantage and hasn’t dropped a set through two matches this tournament. The qualifier Wang is on a four match winning streak and got past Sara Errani in three sets the last round. Zhu should continue to expand her h2h edge though. Zhu in 3
