WTA Wimbledon second-round play continues on Thursday. The women’s tournament at the All-England Club continues to create a lot of drama and suspense. The top players are being challenged. They aren’t dominating their opponents. Aryna Sabalenka trailed McCartney Kessler 5-2 in the second set before rallying to win a tiebreak and advance to the third round. Coco Gauff almost lost to Solana Sierra, but she broke the Argentine’s serve when trying to stay in the match. She then came back from a 7-4 tiebreak deficit to prevail and escape. What’s going to happen next? Anything seems possible in the ladies’ singles draw at Wimbledon in 2026. LWOS has our best bet for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

Shnaider – Samsonova: 6:00 EST
H2H: 2-0
The WTA Wimbledon tournament is up for grabs. Diana Shnaider was part of the French Open tournament one month ago, which was similarly wide-open. Shnaider upset Aryna Sabalenka to make the semifinals, reaching her first major tournament semifinal round. Is that the start of a new chapter of Shnaider’s career, or will that semifinal run become one moment which fades away? Shnaider has plenty to prove in this second-round WTA Wimbledon match against Liudmila Samsonova, a player with a powerful serve and a game made for grass, but who has been struggling this year and is not in top form at the moment.
Neither player did all that well on grass leading up to this match. Shnaider is 1-2 on grass in 2026, Samsonova 2-3. However, both players won in straight sets in the first round.
Best Bet to Make
Shnaider is priced as a slight favorite (near 1.80), but Samsonova is not an easy player to face on grass. Shnaider moneyline could possibly be part of a parlay, but that’s not going to be our recommended bet. These players are both talented and inconsistent. That usually points to a long and complicated match in which both athletes have good patches and bad ones. That means over 2.5 sets is the play to make here. This bet has hit several times in our LWOS best bets over the past few days at WTA Wimbledon, so we’re going to try it again. We think it fits here.
That being said, betting on over 2.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Snigur – Jeanjean: Time 6:00 EST
H2H: 0-1
Daria Snigur made a major mark on this WTA Wimbledon tournament by beating top-10 opponent Elina Svitolina in the first round. There were some concerns about Svitolina’s overall health, which is why she wasn’t as big a moneyline favorite as some people expected, but Svitolina did get off to a good start, and it didn’t matter. Snigur rallied and scored a very impressive win, which makes her a player to watch at the All-England Club going into the second round. Snigur will face Leolia Jeanjean, who needed a final-set super-tiebreak to beat Veronika Erjavec and advance to the next round.

Best Bet to Make
The WTA Wimbledon betting reality attached to this match is clear. Snigur looked great in beating Elina Svitolina, a quality opponent. Jeanjean was inconsistent but barely good enough to beat Erjavec, a much weaker opponent, in a final-set tiebreak. Snigur is the more in-form player, and she faced a higher level of competition in her previous match. Snigur in straight sets does not have a good enough price for us to recommend it as our best bet. You can fold that into a parlay. The game spread offers slightly more value. Snigur should be able to cover a medium-sized spread.
That being said, betting on Snigur -4.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Navarro – Selekhmeteva: Time 6:00 EST
H2H: 0-0
Emma Navarro had one of the more difficult first-round WTA Wimbledon assignments this year, but she rallied late to beat Paula Badosa. Keep in mind that Badosa is a former top-five player with a lot of talent. Navarro got a bad draw and a tricky matchup, but she found a way to get through that match. Now she faces Oksana Selekhmeteva, who defeated Sinja Kraus in the first round. Navarro is priced as a huge betting market favorite, not just because she is ranked a lot higher than Selekhmeteva, but also because beating Badosa is a high-quality victory which should give her additional confidence going into this match.
Best Bet to Make
The conventional wisdom surrounding this match is that Navarro is the better player and the more in-form player, which means she should be able to dominate. We agree with that. After playing the very tough Paula Badosa, Navarro should find Selekhmeteva to be a much more comfortable opponent to play against. This match should be easier for Navarro to deal with, and that points to a straight-set win for the American. The price is not amazing, but barely good enough for us to recommend it.
That being said, betting on Navarro winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
