Emma Navarro before WTA Nottingham

WTA Nottingham Quarterfinal Predictions Including Emma Navarro vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro

The quarterfinals are set at the Lexus Nottingham Open, and the first thing that comes to mind is that any player can win the title from here on. Emma Navarro is the highest remaining seed at WTA Nottingham and will face Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for all four matches, but which players will advance to the semifinals?

WTA Nottingham Quarterfinal Predictions

Karolina Pliskova vs Talia Gibson

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Karolina Pliskova saved three set points in the second set and defeated Caty McNally in the second round. Pliskova has been in rich form and continues her great record at the Lexus Nottingham Open. She has the most experience and pedigree out of everyone remaining in the draw and will be looking to get her first WTA title since 2024. Talia Gibson was the more consistent player against Qinwen Zheng, and despite losing concentration in the second set, she won in straight sets. Gibson will play in her first-ever grass-court quarterfinal, but I think her run will come to an end here.

Prediction: Pliskova in 3

Marie Bouzkova vs Tatjana Maria

Head-to-Head: Bouzkova 3-2 Maria

Marie Bouzkova was involved in a close first set against Hannah Klugman, but she gritted it out and then ran away with the match in the second set in her Round of 16 match at WTA Nottingham. This is Bouzkova’s first quarterfinal on grass since 2022, and she would like her chances against Tatjana Maria, whom she has defeated the last three times. However, they have never met on grass, which is Maria’s strongest surface, and her variety can cause significant trouble for the #4 seed. I am going with the veteran in this one.

Prediction: Maria in 3

Ann Li vs Viktorija Golubic

Head-to-Head: Li 1-1 Golubic

Viktorija Golubic has fought her way back multiple times this week to reach the quarterfinals. She was down a break in the deciding set against Zeynep Sonmez, but kept fighting and won the match. She has a history of peaking at WTA 250-level tournaments with two titles and three finals, and this could well be her week. Ann Li also fought her way past Taylah Preston, who won the first set but couldn’t keep up the level. These two met last year at Wimbledon, and Golubic will be seeking revenge.

Prediction: Golubic in 3

Emma Navarro vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro

Head-to-Head: Navarro 0-1 Bouzas Maneiro

Emma Navarro defeated Yuliia Starodubtseva in a thrilling Round of 16 encounter at WTA Nottingham, with only a few points deciding the match. Navarro’s serve proved to be stronger and helped her get over the line. Jessica Bouzas Maneiro hasn’t had a great season so far, but this run will give her confidence. She easily handled Navarro the last time these two met, but the American seems to be in much better form now and has a better game on grass.

Prediction: Navarro in 3
