ATP Halle Day 2 Predictions Including Alexander Zverev vs Vit Kopriva

Grass season continues at ATP Halle with fast courts rewarding big servers and quick adapters. Day 2 brings intriguing clashes between solid tour regulars and players riding momentum or looking to rediscover their best level on the surface. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match on the schedule. But who will advance?

ATP Halle Day 2 Predictions

Mattia Bellucci vs Alexander Bublik

Head-to-Head: First meeting

Mattia Bellucci has shown he can compete on grass, picking up solid wins and displaying a clean lefty game that works well in quicker conditions. The Italian has been building steadily this season and brings aggression from the baseline.

Alexander Bublik, the defending champion at ATP Halle, thrives on grass with his unpredictable shot-making, big serve, and creativity. He has a strong history at this event and knows how to use the surface to his advantage when his game flows.

Bublik’s experience at this venue and comfort on grass should help him navigate the early challenge. Bellucci can make it competitive with his power, but Bublik’s variety edges this one.

Prediction: Bublik in 2

Tallon Griekspoor vs Sho Shimabukuro

Head-to-Head: Griekspoor 1-0 Shimabukuro

Tallon Griekspoor has proven himself on grass over the years with strong results in the Netherlands and elsewhere. The Dutchman moves well, serves effectively, and has the experience to handle big moments on the surface. Sho Shimabukuro has been in good form lately on grass, taking out notable names en route to the quarterfinals in Stuttgart and showing he can adapt quickly. The Japanese player brings consistency and fighting spirit.

This looks like a close battle with both men capable of strong serving. Griekspoor’s grass pedigree and previous win over Shimabukuro give him the slight nod in what could be a tight contest at ATP Halle.

Prediction: Griekspoor in 3

Andrey Rublev vs Hubert Hurkacz

Head-to-Head: Hurkacz 4-2 Rublev

Andrey Rublev brings heavy groundstrokes and intensity that can overwhelm opponents when he finds his rhythm. He has had decent grass results in the past and is always dangerous when aggressive. Hubert Hurkacz is a proven grass-court performer with a huge serve and solid net game. The tall Pole has won titles on the surface and knows how to dictate play in these conditions.

Both players can light up the court with their power. Hurkacz’s serve and grass comfort should give him the edge in this high-quality ATP Halle matchup.

Prediction: Hurkacz in 3

Alexander Zverev vs Vit Kopriva

Head-to-Head: First meeting

Alexander Zverev enters with massive confidence after recent major success and looks sharp across surfaces. His all-court game, including strong serving and movement, translates perfectly to grass. Vit Kopriva has had some strong moments this year and can compete from the baseline, but grass is a tougher test against top-level power and consistency.

Zverev’s quality and recent form should see him control the match. Kopriva will fight hard, but the top seed has too many tools here.

Prediction: Zverev in 2
