WTA Queen’s Club First Round Best Bets Including Mika Stojsavljevic vs Marta Kostyuk

The WTA Queen’s Club first-round action begins on Monday. The WTA Tour shifts into grass season right after the end of Roland-Garros. Queen’s Club is a WTA 500 event in England. With tour players having just three weeks before Wimbledon, most pros will attempt to play at least two of those three weeks, maybe allowing one week for rest. Because grass season is so short, players need to get used to the surface since they don’t usually practice on it most of the year, especially in the offseason. Players need the match play as much as they need the paycheck and the ranking points. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA Queen’s Club

Siegemund – Jones: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 1-1

Laura Siegemund faces Francesca Jones in the Queen’s Club first round. Siegemund lost in the first round of Roland-Garros, while Jones got to the second round. However, Siegemund faced a much tougher opponent in the first round than Jones did, which explains why Jones did better. Siegemund faced Naomi Osaka, who reached the Round of 16 before losing to Aryna Sabalenka. Jones got a great draw, beating Beatriz Haddad Maia, who has had a terrible 2026 season. Siegemund is ranked just inside the top 50, while Jones is ranked inside the top 100 but still several dozen spots lower than her German opponent.

Best Bet to Make

Laura Siegemund knows how to hit the kinds of slower and slicing shots that play well on grass. She is not a powerful hitter but is able to change how she hits the ball, which is an asset on grass. Francesca Jones is not as good a player as Siegemund in general, but on grass, that difference should be magnified. Siegemund moneyline doesn’t offer that good a price at 1.44, so you should consider a set or game spread. We’re going with Siegemund to win this match in straight sets, which offers a very good price.

That being said, betting on Siegemund winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Dart – Samsonova: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 1–1

Harriet Dart faces Liudmila Samsonova. Dart played one grass match last week and lost, in Birmingham (WTA 125), to Nikola Bartunkova. Samsonova has lost four of her last five matches, but all of them were on clay. Samsonova is a big server who now moves to grass, a surface which should be much better for her playing style than clay. This is the time of year when Samsonova needs to play better to maintain her top-30 ranking, which will enable her to be a seeded player at major tournaments and get direct entry into tournaments throughout the WTA Tour.

Best Bet to Make

This is a match where you could place two separate standalone bets. Samsonova should win, and there’s a decent chance she can take this match in straight sets with her big serve. However, Dart is playing in her home country. Despite being the much lower-ranked player at Queen’s Club, she will have a supportive crowd on her side and will be very motivated to play well. Another thing about grass is that a lot of matches will go to tiebreaks, with serves and returns being so important. Samsonova might win but could need two tiebreaks to do so. If you look at the prices for this match, you will notice that Samsonova winning 2:0 and Dart +4.5 games are priced the same: 1.91 at @1xbet. There is a decent chance you could win both bets. Our official bet is Samsonova winning in straight sets.

That being said, betting on Samsonova winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Stojsavljevic – Kostyuk: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 0–0

Mika Stojsavljevic faces Marta Kostyuk. It is very interesting that Marta Kostyuk decided to play Queen’s Club instead of taking this week off and beginning her grass season next week. Kostyuk played a lot of tennis over the past few weeks, going to the Roland-Garros semifinals before losing to Mirra Andreeva. Kostyuk won 17 clay matches in a row before that loss to Andreeva. Going right into grass season instead of taking a week off is a decision other players probably would not have made. Stojsavljevic is ranked outside the top 250, however, so Kostyuk is still a huge betting favorite.

Best Bet to Make

Kostyuk winning in straight sets does not offer great value (1.46), so this is a game spread match. Kostyuk is obviously the way better player compared to Stojsavljevic, but playing this soon after Roland-Garros might leave her a little sluggish on a different surface. Kostyuk is clearly a great player on clay, but having to make the quick change to grass could leave her less than fully prepared for this match. She is almost certain to win, but maybe not by a huge margin. You can get Stojsavljevic plus 6.5 games for a solid price. If you’re going to take Kostyuk, you could get her at minus 5.5 games for a not-as-great but still fair price.

That being said, betting on Stojsavljevic +6.5 games is a value bet for sure.
