WTA French Open Final Best Bets Maja Chwalinska vs Mirra Andreeva

It’s time for the final at the WTA French Open. This final features a young newcomer to the sport against the No. 8 player in the World. Maja Chwalinska will meet Mirra Andreeva in the final at Roland-Garros. Both women are 9-1 in their last ten matches, and both women beat a veritable who’s who in women’s tennis. I expect the French Open final to live up to the rest of the tournament. LWOS has our best bet for this final, but we want to hear your thoughts and wagers in the comments.

Chwalinska – Andreeva: Time 09:00

H2H: 0-0

Maja Chwalinska began the French Open as the World’s 114th-ranked player. She can count on seeing a considerable rise in the rankings the next time they are adjusted, especially if she wins this final. Chwalinska is 29-9 overall in 2026, and she’s also 21-3 on clay, including a title at WTA Oeiras in April. Chwalinska came from qualifying to the WTA French Open final, and she only had one three-set match along the way. That’s not just winning; that’s winning with confidence.

Mirra Andreeva is 35-9 in 2026, and that includes two titles. She put on an extremely impressive display in Linz to win that tournament, but she also took the Auckland tournament to start the 2026 season. She avenged her WTA Madrid final loss to Marta Kostyuk in the semifinal of the French Open; now all she has to do is beat Chwalinska. That’s not going to be an easy task, regardless of what the books think.

While the French Open is undoubtedly Chwalinska’s finest performance, she also came close to winning a few other tournaments. The big concern I have for Chwalinska is that she’s literally coming off an injury, and she’s played a lot of tennis over these last two weeks. It’s not that she’s shown any signs of weakness or concern; it’s just something to consider. The books don’t give Chwalinska much of a shot, but she’s been an underdog before. She just hasn’t been this much of an underdog.

Best Bet to Make

On average, the books see Andreeva as a 4-1.25 favorite, though you can grab Chwalinska at 4-1 if you were so inclined. Part of me really, really wants to support the Pole against the Russian, but Andreeva is a much better player than Chwalinska, and this isn’t the only time she’s come this close to winning the French Open. A Major is a much harder thing to win when you’re a young and inexperienced player, especially when your opponent is one of the best in the world. Ultimately, I think Chwalinska’s engine finally burns out. I see Andreeva winning this match in straight sets.

That being said, betting on Andreeva winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
