Iga Swiatek won Wimbledon.

WTA Wimbledon Second Round Best Bets Including Karolina Pliskova vs Iga Swiatek

WTA Wimbledon second-round play continues on Thursday. The women’s tournament at the All-England Club continues to create a lot of drama and suspense. The top players are being challenged. They aren’t dominating their opponents. Aryna Sabalenka trailed McCartney Kessler 5-2 in the second set before rallying to win a tiebreak and advance to the third round. Coco Gauff almost lost to Solana Sierra, but she broke the Argentine’s serve when trying to stay in the match. She then came back from a 7-4 tiebreak deficit to prevail and escape. What’s going to happen next? Anything seems possible in the ladies’ singles draw at Wimbledon in 2026. LWOS has our best bet for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

Blinkova – Kostyuk: 8:00 EST

H2H: 0-1

Anna Blinkova arrives at this WTA Wimbledon second-round stage having collected six grass match victories this season. As a point of comparison, Marta Kostyuk comes to this WTA Wimbledon match with only one grass win, which was her victory in the first round. The big question to ask going into this match is if Kostyuk’s excellent clay tennis, which catapulted her upward in the rankings (she made the Roland-Garros semifinals and produced a very long winning streak which included the Madrid championship), can carry over to grass. Consider how Anastasia Potapova, another player who had a great spring on clay, came to Wimbledon grass and fell early in the tournament. Kostyuk will try to avoid that same fate.

Best Bet to Make

Marta Kostyuk is a very good tennis player, and she might not be a clay specialist. She can play well on other surfaces. However, clay is her best surface. Her winning streak earlier this year came on clay for a reason. She really likes playing in that environment. She should be the favorite here against Anna Blinkova, but the markets might still be overrating Kostyuk on grass and not giving Blinkova as much of a chance. You could fold Kostyuk moneyline (a very small price) into a parlay, but for our standalone wager, we think there’s tremendous value in finding a pro-Blinkova angle. She probably won’t win, but she should keep it close. Winning just one set carries a whopping price. We find this chance too good to pass up.

That being said, betting on Blinkova +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Swan – Keys: Time 8:00 EST

H2H: 0-2

Katie Swan was one of the very few British tennis players to win a WTA Wimbledon first-round match. It has been a bad tournament for British tennis players overall, with Emma Raducanu having to withdraw and Katie Boulter playing horribly in a loss to Tyra Caterina Grant, but Swan was up for the challenge. She beat Irina Begu 6-4, 6-4 and was able to not only win, but avoid a long three-set match which could have drained her going into the second round. Swan will face Madison Keys, who struggled a lot in her first-round match but was able to survive in three sets against Kayla Day.

Best Bet to Make

Keys was a massive moneyline favorite against Day but barely won. She is a slightly less massive moneyline favorite here, but still a huge one. The Keys in straight sets price is too low for us to put that forward as our best bet, so what you can do is have Keys in straight sets as a parlay piece. For the standalone bet, we’re going to use the game spread. We think that Swan, playing before a supportive home crowd, can keep the match fairly close. The fact that Keys struggled against a very inferior opponent in the first round makes is lean to Swan, not Keys, against the spread.

That being said, betting on Swan +5.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Pliskova – Swiatek: Time 8:30 EST

H2H: 0-4

Karolina Pliskova is 0-4 all-time against Iga Swiatek, but despite that ugly head-to-head record, this might be a chance for her to grab a WTA Wimbledon match victory over her opponent. Pliskova has collected six grass match wins this season, whereas Swiatek has only one. Swiatek did not look very consistent against Taylor Townsend, but she was able to regroup in the third set to win and advance as she tries to defend her Wimbledon championship. Swiatek is not playing her best tennis right now, but then again, that’s what people generally thought last year, only for Swiatek to get hot, find some confidence, and win her first Wimbledon title. Can Swiatek make another surprising recovery this year? This match against Pliskova could show how ready Iga is to make a run at the All-England Club.

Best Bet to Make

Swiatek has won several major tournaments and is the defending WTA Wimbledon champion, so she is priced as the very clear betting market favorite in this match. Yet, everyone can see that Swiatek is not playing very well, while Pliskova has done some good work on grass and has had a solid 2026 season over the past few months. You should probably fold Swiatek moneyline into a parlay, but for your standalone wager, Pliskova plus 1.5 sets seems very attractive. You don’t need Pliskova to win the whole match, just one set. Swiatek lost one set to Taylor Townsend. Pliskova should be able to do at last that much, if not more. You could go for over 2.5 sets if you want, but the price for Pliskova winning one set is already great.

That being said, betting on Pliskova +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.
