WTA Den Bosch Day 4 Predictions Including Barbora Krejcikova vs Hanne Vandewinkel

There are many exciting second-round matches to look out for on Day 4 of the WTA Libema Open, but it will all come down to whether the weather cooperates. This article features 2024 Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova taking on qualifier Hanne Vandewinkel. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for all the matches, but which players will advance?

WTA Den Bosch Day 4 Predictions

Magda Linette vs Mia Pohankova

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Magda Linette was on the verge of another first-round defeat at the Libema Open as Kimberly Birrell outplayed her in the first set, but Linette fought back brilliantly and won comfortably in the end. She has gained some momentum since the French Open, and if she can continue serving as she did in the first round, she will be in a strong position against Mia Pohankova, who defeated #2 seed Clara Tauson in straight sets for her first WTA tour win. Pohankova served 11 aces in the match and seems like a promising prospect. However, I will still give the edge to the more experienced Linette.

Prediction: Linette in 3

Anastasia Potapova vs Zeynep Sonmez

Head-to-Head: Potapova 1-0 Sonmez

It was a nice turnaround victory for Anastasia Potapova in the first round, as she looked in all sorts of trouble for the most part. It was a good mental effort from the Russian, but I think she has accumulated a lot of court time in the last two months and is not as fresh as she would want to be. Zeynep Sonmez has a great opportunity to pull off the upset here, and I believe she will do it.

Prediction: Sonmez in 3

Barbora Krejcikova vs Hanne Vandewinkel

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Barbora Krejcikova is off to an impressive start on grass, defeating Renata Zarazua easily. She was great behind her serve and complemented it with some sublime net plays. Krejcikova has enormous potential, and if she can gather some momentum, she will be a player to watch this grass season. Hanne Vandewinkel has done well to reach this stage from qualifying, but Krejcikova is just a class above and should get the victory.

Prediction: Krejcikova in 2
