The WTA French Open tennis finishes the third round of the tournament on Saturday. Half of the Round of 16 has been filled out. Now the rest of the Round of 16 will be determined. The women’s tournament at Roland-Garros is intensely interesting because it feels so wide-open right now. The big names are still in the tournament, with the exception of Elena Rybakina, but there is no overwhelming favorite, at least not yet. So much seems possible, and that’s why these matches are so exciting. LWOS has our best bets for three matches on Saturday. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

Shnaider – Oliynykova: Time 6:00 EST
H2H: 0-0
Diana Shnaider faces Oleksandra Oliynykova. Both players are in good form, having won two matches in Paris this week. Shnaider’s most recent win came against McCartney Kessler. Oliynykova’s most recent win was over Kimberly Birrell, who beat Jessica Pegula earlier in the tournament. This is a matchup of a Russian tennis player, Shnaider, versus a Ukrainian tennis player, Oliynykova. This should be a very intense and emotional match, and the two players will need to focus on their game plan and not think about anything other than tennis and the preparations they need to make.
Best Bet to Make
Because this match is likely to be very emotionally intense, the over 2.5-set bet is tempting. However, we are going to bet in favor of Oliynykova, who will be extremely motivated to play well against her Russian opponent. If this were a first-round match, we wouldn’t be as sure about Oliynykova’s form and whether it merited a bet in her favor, but since she has won two matches this week in France, she is playing well enough to support the prediction that she will win at least one set. The price is very reasonable.
That being said, betting on Oliynykova +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Kalinskaya – Osorio: Time 7:00 EST
H2H: 1–2
Anna Kalinskaya faces Camila Osorio. Kalinskaya is the No. 22 seed in Paris, and she has started her tournament with two solid wins, first over Lois Boisson, who was a 2025 French Open semifinalist, and then Alina Korneeva. Osorio beat No. 14 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first round. Then she needed three sets to beat Yulia Putintseva in a grueling and tough match. Both players have ample reason to be optimistic about this match. Let’s see how well they are able to perform under pressure, since a third-round major tournament match carries with it a lot of ranking points and prize money.
Best Bet to Make
Osorio had to work very hard to beat Putintseva in the previous round. She might not be as physically fresh as she would like to be. Osorio has beaten a top-15 seed at this tournament, so it’s reasonable to think she can then beat a No. 22 seed. However, Kalinskaya is an in-form player right now. She looked smooth and in rhythm in her first two match wins this week in Paris. The Kalinskaya moneyline price is generous. It’s a bargain which is far too good to pass up.
That being said, betting on Kalinskaya winning is a value bet for sure.
