Aryna Sabalenka in action at the French Open.

WTA French Open First Round Best Bets Including Aryna Sabalenka vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro

The WTA French Open action continues on Monday. The 2026 edition of Roland Garros goes into the second day of first-round competition. The first round started on Sunday and will end on Tuesday, as the field goes from 128 down to 64. There are so many matches and stories to keep track of. Which top seeds are in danger? Which floaters in the draw will begin to pick up momentum, which could flow into the rest of the tournament? These and other interesting questions will soon be answered. LWOS has our best bets for three matches on Monday. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA French Open

Sabalenka – Bouzas Maneiro: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 2-0

Aryna Sabalenka is the best player in the World when it comes to the WTA. Being No. 1 is one thing, but a dominant No. 1 is an entirely different matter. Sabalenka is so dominant that she is a 19-1 favorite over No. 51 in the World, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. Sabalenka is 2-0 all-time against Bouzas Maneiro, but both of those matches were on a hardcourt. Sabalenka was a finalist last year, and has come close the last three years. Maybe this year will be the year she wins in Paris?

Best Bet to Make

It’s not a surprise that Sabalenka is such a dominant favorite in this match. Bouzas Maneiro is 10-14 in 2026, and barely above .500 on clay. Sabalenka is 27-3 this year, but she is still looking for her first title on clay of the season. She lost to Hailey Baptiste in the quarterfinals in Madrid, and then lost as a 6-1 favorite in the third round against Sorana Mihaela Cirstea in Rome. This is a tournament Sabalenka has yet to win, but she will certainly be one of the favorites.

That being said, betting on Sabalenka -6.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Jovic – Eala: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 0–0

Two of women’s tennis’ youngest stars will meet when Iva Jovic faces off against Alexandra Eala. Jovic is having a great season compared to Eala, who hasn’t reached a quarterfinal since February. Jovic opened up her clay season with a semifinal appearance in Charleston, but she has yet to get beyond the round of 16 since. Jovic has also been better on clay leading up to the WTA French Open. At 6-4, at least Jovic has a winning record compared to Eala’s 4-5 record on clay in 2026.

Best Bet to Make

Jovic is the favorite in this match, but the odds are about 3.1-1.4, on average. If you really think Eala is capable of the upset, then you can get Eala straight for a pretty solid return. I think Jovic is more likely to be the victor in this match because she’s been seeing deeper results in clay tournaments on a more consistent basis. You can get Jovic winning 2:0 at 2.0 on several sites. This would be my recommendation.

That being said, betting on Jovic winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Siegemund – Osaka: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 2-2

Laura Siegemund vs Naomi Osaka is one of the better first-round matches in Paris. Both women are having similar results on clay; it’s their hardcourt results that separate them overall. Siegemund hasn’t won a tournament since 2022, but other than the single tournament that Osaka won in Saint-Malo last year, she hadn’t won a tournament since the 2021 Australian Open. Neither of the two WTA-level events won by Siegemund was a Major, but they were both on clay. That said, Siegemund reached the quarterfinals here in 2020, and that’s further than Osaka has ever gone at Roland-Garros.

Best Bet to Make

Siegemund and Osaka have split their four encounters, with each winning two. They’re even tied up when it comes to the surface on which the game was played. They each have a win on hardcourt and a win on clay. One of Osaka’s wins was a first-round victory over Siegemund in 2018, a tournament she would go on to win. I think Osaka can win this game, but I’m not predicting a deep run for her at Roland-Garros. I think it’s safe to take Osaka +5 games.

That being said, betting on Osaka +5 games is a value bet for sure.
