WTA Stuttgart Best Bets Including Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Linda Noskova

The WTA Stuttgart tournament heads into the Round of 16. Since this tournament annually attracts the top players on the WTA Tour, it stands to reason that you’ll see some really good and interesting matchups on the Thursday card, just before the weekend. One example is Ekaterina Alexandrova versus Linda Noskova, two top-15 players meeting before the quarterfinals. Let’s look at that match plus two other matches on the Thursday schedule.

WTA Stuttgart

Alexandrova – Noskova: Time 05:00

H2H: 1-0

Ekaterina Alexandrova and Linda Noskova are both ranked in the top 15. This match is therefore significant. Both players want to be in the top 16 heading into the bigger tournaments coming up on the 2026 schedule, starting with Madrid. That will give them a better path through the early rounds of tournaments, which have a lot of points and prize money on the line. Alexandrova defeated Gabriela Knutson in the first round. Noskova beat Shuai Zhang. There are levels to their opponents, and Noskova’s was higher.

Best Bet to Make

Alexandrova is 2-6 in her last eight matches. Noskova is 6-2 in her last eight matches. Yet, because Alexandrova and Noskova have almost identical world rankings (13 and 14), the market isn’t giving Noskova a huge edge. You might as well try to capitalize on that fact and get a good price. You can grab Noskova at 1.8

That being said, Noskova winning is a value bet for sure.

Fernandez – Sonmez: Time 11:00

H2H: 0-0

Leylah Fernandez and Zeynep Sonmez both played terrific tennis in their most recent matches earlier this week in Stuttgart. Fernandez easily defeated Alexandra Eala, a result which was not surprising due to how lopsided the match was. Most people were expecting a close battle there, but Fernandez just dominated. Sonmez was even better, crushing fifth seed Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-2 in a shocking result. Let’s see how both players respond to those big wins in this head-to-head clash.

Best Bet to Make

The smart bet here is to ride the hot hand. Sonmez just demolished Jasmine Paolini, who is ranked No. 7 in the world, in a total wipeout. Fernandez certainly looked good in her easy win over Eala, but Sonmez set the bar higher. You can get Sonmez as a straight-up underdog on the markets, so it seems like an opportunity that’s too good to pass up. You know how much I love a good flier on the underdog.

That being said, Sonmez winning is a value bet for sure.

Parks – Andreeva: Time 05:00

H2H: 0-1

Alycia Parks faces Mirra Andreeva for only the second time in her career. Both players won their first-round matches in Stuttgart. That said, Andreeva beat Jelena Ostapenko, a high-quality result for the Russian who is coming off her championship the past weekend in Linz. Andreeva seems to be regaining a measure of form and confidence. However, her win over Ostapenko was a three-set battle. She might be fatigued. Form versus fatigue is the balancing act bettors have to think about before making a play here.

Best Bet to Make

The play here is to go with Parks against a medium game spread. Andreeva is an overwhelming favorite on the books; it’s such that Andreeva winning 2:0 still isn’t providing a particularly good ROI. Andreeva -4.5 games isn’t even offering that much in return for a winning ticket. The prices are such that Parks getting a medium number of games provides the balance of a good return with the likelihood of success. Andreeva should certainly win, but after the three-setter against Ostapenko, she might be just tired enough that she won’t score a blowout victory here. The strategy here is to bet on Andreeva struggling more than Parks succeeding.

That being said, Parks +6.5 games is a value bet for sure.
