WTA Dubai Best Bets Including Jessica Pegula vs Amanda Anisimova

The WTA Dubai semifinals have arrived, and the United States is well-represented. A total of three Americans, all seeded in the top five of the tournament, made it through to the semifinal round. All four of the competitors were ranked in the top ten in the World, and the top seven of WTA Dubai. LWOS has our best bets for these matches, so please join the conversation. Leave your thoughts and wagers in the comments section.

Pegula – Anisimova: Time 14:00

H2H: 5-1

If we went by ranking, Jessica Pegula vs Amanda Anisimova would have been our featured match. Pegula checks in at no. 5 in the World and is seeded fourth at WTA Dubai. This is the seventh all-time match between these two, and Pegula is leading the series 5-1, including a two-set quarterfinal victory over Anisimova at the WTA Australian Open. Anisimova’s only victory came at the 2025 WTA Miami Invitational, an exhibition event.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Pegula as a favorite to win this match, and I agree. This is the third tournament in a row where Pegula has reached the semifinals. Pegula is also a career hardcourt player, and Anisimova has yet to show that she’s ready to overcome those ranked near her. She had her chance at the Australian Open and lost to Pegula in straight sets. Anisimova just isn’t mentally ready to be that woman. Give me Pegula straight up.

That being said, Pegula winning is a value bet for sure.

Svitolina – Gauff: Time 16:00

H2H: 2-2

Elina Svitolina and Coco Gauff will meet for the fifth time overall, the second time this year, and only the second time outside of a Major at WTA Dubai. The series is tied at two, but Svitolina has the latest win. That was a quarterfinal match at the 2026 WTA Australian Open, which Svitolina only lost three total games. Svitolina’s two victories both occurred at a Major, but Gauff’s includes the only finals victory. That occurred at WTA Auckland, which went three sets, including a first-set tiebreak.

Best Bet to Make

The books see Gauff as the favorite for this tournament, even though Svitolina beat her earlier this year, and is a two-time winner of this event. I don’t know if I agree with them on this matter. Svitolina is 14-2 this year, and playing extremely confident tennis. Can we really say the same about Gauff? There’s also the small matter of Svitolina being much more experienced on a hardcourt, especially here. This is also her third semifinal at WTA Dubai. At 2.3 on bet365, Svitolina can be had for a solid turnaround.

That being said,  Svitolina winning is a value bet for sure.
