Australian Open Day 6: Match Times for Alcaraz, Gauff, Sabalenka Revealed

The third round of the Australian Open is here, and with each passing day, the matches continue to grow in intensity and excitement.

Once again, Day 6 features a duo of World No.1s in action, as Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz continue their respective quests to lift the first Major of the year. However, the star power does not end there. Former World No.1 Daniil Medvedev and multi-time Slam champion Coco Gauff are also set to take the court, among several other headline acts. As a result, fans can look forward to another blockbuster day of tennis at Melbourne Park. Here is your complete guide to ensure you do not miss any of the action on Day 6.

Australian Open Day 6 Match Times

Rod Laver Arena Schedule

Rod Laver Arena once again takes center stage on Day 6, with both world No.1s scheduled to play. First, Aryna Sabalenka will open the day’s session. Shortly afterwards, Carlos Alcaraz will step onto the court to face Corentin Moutet in a matchup that promises flair, creativity, and plenty of highlight-reel moments.

Meanwhile, the night session delivers what could become one of the matches of the tournament. Australia’s top-ranked player, Alex de Minaur, will battle Frances Tiafoe, whose form has steadily improved throughout the season. To conclude the evening, Mirra Andreeva returns to court as she continues her pursuit of a maiden Slam title.

Play begins at 11:30 AM local time in Melbourne (7:30 PM Thursday EST). The second match of the day session will not start before 1:30 PM local time (9:30 PM Thursday EST). Later, the night session gets underway at 7:00 PM local time (3:00 AM Friday EST).

Margaret Court Arena Schedule

Margaret Court Arena also offers a compelling lineup on Day 6, starting with a clash of contrasting styles. Former World No.1 Daniil Medvedev opens the day session against the exciting Fabian Marozsan. After that, Coco Gauff takes the court as she looks to secure yet another second-week appearance at a Major.

In the evening, Elina Svitolina begins the night session against the hard-hitting Diana Shnaider. Finally, Alexander Bublik returns to court to close out the day’s action on this show court.

The day session begins at 11:30 AM local time, while the night session starts at 7:00 PM local time. However, unlike Rod Laver Arena, the second match of the day session here will not begin before 2:00 PM local time, rather than 1:30 PM.

About Zain Mustafa

Being brought up in a sports-watching home, some of the spheres flying across the TV screen stuck with me more than others, the yellow fuzzy one probably the most. A lefty Mallorcan got me into it, a righty Murcian has kept me in it after him, but to be honest, once I was in, I never felt like leaving anyway.
