A total of 40 singles matches will be played, including appearances from former champions like Naomi Osaka and both defending champions, Jannik Sinner and Madison Keys. As always, we here at LWOT will not only provide full predictions for every match but also bring you all the details on where to watch the action live.

Australian Open Day 3 Match Times

Rod Laver Arena Schedule

The day will begin with defending women’s champion Madison Keys back in action at the site of her greatest career triumph to date. Following her in the day session will be the top-ranked American man, Ben Shelton, who faces Ugo Humbert in what is expected to be one of the most closely contested first-round matches.

The night session features two multi-time Australian Open champions. Two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner will begin his quest for a historic three-peat, before crowd favourite Naomi Osaka takes the court in the final first-round match scheduled on Rod Laver Arena this year.

The day session begins at 11:30 AM local time in Melbourne (7:30 PM Monday EST), with the second match not scheduled to start before 1:30 PM local time (9:30 PM Monday EST). The night session gets underway at 7:00 PM local time (3:00 AM Tuesday EST).

Margaret Court Arena Schedule

Margaret Court Arena will also host four matches, with two from each tour. The day session begins with newly ranked top-five player Lorenzo Musetti, who opens his campaign in a tricky encounter against Raphael Collignon. He will be followed by another top-five star, Elena Rybakina, as the WTA contender continues her pursuit of a first Australian Open title.

The night session will see Belinda Bencic look to continue her tremendous form following an impressive United Cup campaign. Closing out the evening will be Stefanos Tsitsipas, returning to a Slam where he reached the final as recently as 2023.

Margaret Court Arena follows the same session structure as Rod Laver Arena, with play beginning at 11:30 AM local time for the day session and 7:00 PM local time for the night session.

About Zain Mustafa

Being brought up in a sports-watching home, some of the spheres flying across the TV screen stuck with me more than others, the yellow fuzzy one probably the most. A lefty Mallorcan got me into it, a righty Murcian has kept me in it after him, but to be honest, once I was in, I never felt like leaving anyway.
