WTA Brisbane Final Prediction – Aryna Sabalenka vs Marta Kostyuk

The final is set at the WTA Brisbane International, and what a terrific way to kick off the new season. In this final, the world #1 and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka will face the suddenly unstoppable Marta Kostyuk, who has beaten three top 10 players in a row to reach this stage. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for this intriguing match, but which player will lift the trophy?

WTA Brisbane Final Prediction

Aryna Sabalenka vs Marta Kostyuk

Head-to-head: Sabalenka 4-0 Kostyuk

Sabalenka has been flawless so far and is into her third straight final at this event. She hasn’t dropped a single set all week, cruising through wins, including a straight-sets revenge victory over Madison Keys and then played her best match of the week to beat Karolina Muchova in the semifinals. She handled Muchova’s variety extremely well and played with a lot of variety herself. Sabalenka is chasing her second straight Brisbane title.

Kostyuk has been the breakout story of the week as the 23-year-old Ukrainian has stunned everyone by claiming three straight top-10 wins to reach the final. She has won eight sets in a row since losing the first set in her opening match beating second Amanda Anisimova and sixth seed Mirra Andreeva in straight sets before demolishing Jessica Pegula in the semifinals. If she can continue to perform at this level, she will pose a serious problem for the world #1.

That said, this is Kostyuk’s first WTA final since 2024, and she must do something she has never done before to claim her second tour-level title, which is beating Sabalenka. The Ukrainian has never won a set against Sabalenka, but her current red-hot form should give her confidence to go toe-to-toe with the best player in the world. I am leaning with Sabalenka, but expect a great fight from her opponent and take this to the decider.

Prediction: Sabalenka in 3
