WTA Brisbane Best Bets Including Anna Kalinskaya vs Jessica Pegula

Today, we are covering the second round of the WTA Brisbane tournament. While the United Cup is still going on, the action in Brisbane is better than ever. Today’s matches feature some of the best players in the World. Please let us know if you disagree and specify which lines caught your attention.

WTA Brisbane

Tauson — Sasnovich: Time 01:00

H2H: 1-1

Clara Tauson vs Aliaksandra Sasnovich is our first match, and a rubber match between the two. Tauson took their last meeting at the 2023 French Open in the first round, but Sasnovich took their quarterfinal meeting at WTA Melbourne Summer Set 2. Neither match has gone beyond two sets. Sasnovich is playing her fourth match of the year already, having won several qualifiers and her first round match. Tauson only won a single tournament last year, but at least it was in Australia at the Auckland Open.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Tauson as the favorite. It’s about 2-1 odds in her favor. Tauson was 23-13 on a hardcourt last year, and Sasnovich was 8-13. Sasnovich might be warmed up, but Tauson should be capable of handling this match with relative ease. Just to be on the safe side, take Tauson straight at 1.57 on Betfair.

That being said, Tauson winning is a value bet for sure.

Birrell – Anisimova: Time 01:00

H2H: 0-1

Amanda Anisimova will take on Kimberly Birrell in her first match of the season. The two of them only have one prior meeting in the first round of last year’s US Open, which Anisimova won in straight sets. Anisimova is coming off a really good 2025, where she won two titles and played for several others at the US Open and Wimbledon. She came up empty, but making regular finals at Majors is where it starts. Birrell is no slouch, having made the quarterfinals here last year.

Best Bet to Make

Birrell might not be a slouch, but she isn’t expected to win her match. In fact, she is a 5-1 underdog on most books. Bet365 offers Anisimova 2:0 for 1.57, and that would probably be my first choice. My other top choice is taking the under on 20 games for 1.75 on Pinnacle. Anisimova should be able to make relatively quick work of her opponent if she’s on point.

That being said, Anisimova 2:0 winning is a value bet for sure.

Kalinskaya – Pegula: Time 01:00

H2H: 1-3

Anna Kalinskaya vs Jessica Pegula is our featured match. Pegula won a good number of games in 2025, but she also came up short in her biggest moments. Yes, she won three tournaments, all of them on a different surface, but it’s the could-have-beens that will linger. Until Pegula wins one of the big ones, she will be seen differently than those around her in the World rankings. Kalinskaya proved to herself that she could beat Pegula in their last meeting, but it’s still 1-3 in the overall series, and Pegula won both of their hardcourt matches.

Best Bet to Make

This is the type of tournament at which Pegula normally excels. In fact, one of the finals Pegula made but lost in 2025 was at WTA Adelaide to start her year. She lost in three sets to Madison Keys. The books see Pegula as about a 2.25-1 favorite. I think Kalinskaya is one of the better opportunities to cash in on an upset. You can grab her at 2.88 on Unibet. I would take the under on 2.5 sets for 1.54 on Pinnacle.

That being said, Kalinskaya winning is a value bet for sure.
