Tennis Weddings: 9 Players Marry in 2025

6&7. Denis Shapovalov and Mirjam Bjorklund

ATP star Denis Shapovalov married former WTA Top 200 player Mirjam Bjorklund in a private ceremony in Zakynthos, Greece, at the Lesante Cape Hotel. The couple started dating in 2019 and the Canadian proposed to Bjorklund in July 2023. They honored their wedding vows overlooking the Ionian sea and shared stunning photos of the ceremony on social media. Bjorklund recently retired from professional tennis and joined her husband’s coaching team.

8. Felix Auger-Aliassime

For months, Auger-Aliassime was forced to put his wedding plans on hold because of the Tour’s relentless schedule. But two weeks after his run to the US Open semifinals, the World No. 8 found enough time in the calendar to marry longtime partner Nina Ghaibi—the cousin of Australian WTA player Ajla Tomljanovic. The wedding took place in the picturesque, luxurious Selman Marrakech hotel in Morocco.

9. Diego Schwartzman

Diego Schwartzman retired from tennis after competing in his final tournament at the ATP 250 in Buenos Aires back in February, but the 33-year-old has started a new chapter off court. A six-year romantic relationship with girlfriend Eugenia De Martino culminated in a proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris over a year ago. The couple married in Buenos Aires last month.
