ATP French Open final

Sinner – Alcaraz: 08.06.2025 15:00 CEST
H2H: 5-8

Jannik Sinner has won six straight matches. This week in Paris, Sinner won all six matches in straight sets. En route to the 1/8-Finals, the Italian demolished Rinderknech, Gasquet and Lehecka in straight sets. In the 1/8-Finals, Rublev had no chances against the world number 1. Sinner was great under pressure, saving all three breakpoints. In the quarterfinals, the Italian demolished Bublik in straight sets. The Kazakh fought hard in the second set; other than that, Sinner dominated throughout the match. Today, in the semifinals, the Italian won against Djokovic in three tight sets. He was great under pressure, saving five out of six breakpoints. In the second set, Sinner failed to serve the set at 5-4 but immediately broke back at 5-5 and closed out the set. In the third set, Sinner saved three set points and dominated in the tiebreak. Last season in Paris, the Italian lost against Alcaraz in the semifinals.

Carlos Alcaraz has won twelve straight matches. Two weeks ago, the Spaniard won the Masters 1000 title in Rome, defeating Sinner in the final in straight sets. This week in Paris, Alcaraz won against Zeppieri in the opening round in straight sets within two hours. In the second round, Alcaraz defeated Marozsan in four sets. After losing the second set 4-6, the Spaniard stepped up and dominated in the third and fourth sets. In the third round, he defeated Dzumhur in four sets. In the 1/8-Finals, Alcaraz won against Shelton in four tight sets in an exciting match. The Spaniard won against Paul in straight sets in the quarterfinals, losing only five games. His toughest challenge came today in the semifinals. After losing the opening set 4-6, Alcaraz stepped up his level and turned the match around. Musetti retired in the fourth set due to an injury. Last season, he won the title against Zverev in the final. He is the biggest favourite to win the title this season.

Best Bets to Make

Main Bet

According to the bookies, this will be a 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Sinner is a better player than Alcaraz, but not on clay courts. Alcaraz is more relentless and has more weapons for clay courts. Looking at the head-to-head meetings, Alcaraz leads 3-1 on clay. Two weeks ago, the Spaniard defeated Sinner in the final of the Masters 1000 Rome. We expect a similar outcome on Sunday.

That being said, Alcaraz winning is a value bet.

Second Bet

This will be an epic final. Both players are in great form and are the best players in the world. Although we expect Alcaraz to win, we still believe this will be a tight match. Last season in Paris, Alcaraz won in five tight sets after spending over four hours on the court. We expect a similar outcome this year as well.

That being said, over 40.5 games is a value bet.
