ATP Geneva Best Bets Including Djokovic vs Norrie

ATP 250 Geneva semifinals

Hurkacz – Ofner: 23.05.2025 14:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Hubert Hurkacz has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Rome, the Pole had a decent run, reaching the quarterfinals. He was eventually stopped by Paul, losing in straight sets. This week in Geneva, Hurkacz won the opening-round match against Cazaux in straight sets. In the second round, he defeated Rinderknech 6-4 6-1 easily. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, Hurkacz, as we predicted, upset Fritz in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving all three breakpoints.

Sebastian Ofner has won five straight matches. This week in Geneva, the Austrian qualified for the main draw tournament by winning both qualifying matches in straight sets. He won against Gakhov 6-1 6-2 in the opening main draw round. The Austrian was great under pressure, saving both breakpoints. In the 1/8-Finals, Ofner defeated Borges in straight sets. After playing for two hours, Ofner won through two tiebreaks. His toughest challenge happened yesterday in the quarterfinals. After losing the opening set 4-6, Ofner stepped up his level and turned the match around, eventually winning in three tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Hurkacz is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He had a tough draw this week in Geneva but still came out as a winner. Ofner, on the other hand, had a favourable draw, and this will be his toughest match. Hurkacz is a more experienced player at the highest level, and his experience will prevail in this match.

That being said, Hurkacz winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Norrie – Djokovic: 23.05.2025 15:30 CEST
H2H: 0-4

Cameron Norrie has won five straight matches. This week in Geneva, the Brit qualified for the main draw tournament by winning both qualifying matches in straight sets. Norrie won against Stricker 7-6 6-3 in the opening main draw round. He trailed 3-5 in the opening set but turned it around. In the second round, Machac retired mid-match against him. Norrie was 4-3 up in the deciding set when Machac decided to retire. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, the Brit defeated Popyrin in straight sets. He trailed 3-5 once again in the opening set but turned it around. Norrie was a better player under pressure throughout the match and deservedly won in straight sets.

Novak Djokovic has lost three of his last five matches. So far this season, Djokovic has played four clay-court matches and lost two. This week in Geneva, the Serb defeated Fucsovics in straight sets in the opening match. He served great, but he did not offer any breakpoints. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, Arnaldi put up a big fight against Djokovic but still fell short. Djokovic trailed 1-4 in the second set but won five straight games and turned it around.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Djokovic is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He aims for his 100th ATP title and will give his best to win the ATP 250 title this week in Geneva. Norrie never succeeded on clay, so we expect Novak to dominate today.

That being said, Djokovic covering the games handicap is a value bet.
