ATP Marseille Best Bets Including Sonego vs Humbert

ATP 250 Marseille quarterfinals

Medjedovic – Altmaier: 14.02.2025 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting

Hamad Medjedovic has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Medjedovic represented Serbia in the Davis Cup. He defeated Rune and lost against Moller. Hamad won the opening round match against Collignon this week in Marseille in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving all five breakpoints he offered. In the second round, Medjedovic upset Khachanov in straight sets. At the beginning of the season, Medjedovic played in Oeiras, winning the Challenger title on indoor hard courts. His biggest result happened in Belgrade, where he finished runner-up at an ATP 250 tournament. It is his first appearance in Marseille.

Daniel Altmaier has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Rotterdam, Daniel surprisingly reached the quarterfinals. He eventually lost against de Minaur in straight sets, as we had predicted. Daniel won the opening round against Nardi in straight sets this week in Marseille, losing only four games. He offered and saved four breakpoints. In the second round, Altmaier also won against Virtanen in straight sets. It is his first appearance in Marseille.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Medjedovic is the big favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Hamad played great this week in Marseille. He had a tough second-round draw, winning against Khachanov. Hamad upset Rune in the Davis Cup under similar conditions. He will be fully confident coming into this matchup, and we expect him to dominate.

That being said, Medjedovic winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Hamad Medjedovic winning 2-0 @2.20 @bet365

Sonego – Humbert: 14.02.2025 Time TBA
H2H: 3-3

Lorenzo Sonego has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Rotterdam, Sonego lost in the opening round against Rune in straight sets. It is his first appearance in Marseille. In the opening round, Lorenzo defeated Van de Zandschulp in three sets, as we predicted. After that, in the second round, van Assche withdrew from the 1/8 final match against Sonego. Around this time last year, Sonego played in Dubai, losing in the second round against Medvedev in three sets.

Ugo Humbert has won four of his last five matches. The last match he played was in the Davis Cup, where he won against Fonseca in straight sets. It is his fourth appearance in Marseille, where he is the defending champion. In his opening match, Humbert won against Bublik in straight sets, as we predicted. Last year, he won the title against Dimitrov in the final in straight sets. This week, he hopes for a solid result to cement his top 20 status.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Humbert is the favorite in this match, and we agree. He is a better indoor hard-court player than Sonego. They played against each other twice on hard courts, and Humbert won both matches. We expect a similar outcome tomorrow as well.

That being said, Humbert winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Ugo Humbert winning 2-0 @2.10 @bet365
