ATP Rotterdam Best Bets Including Rublev vs Hurkacz

ATP 500 Rotterdam quarterfinals

Altmaier – de Minaur: 07.02.2025
H2H: 0-1

Daniel Altmaier has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Montpellier, Daniel lost in the opening round against Bu in straight sets, as we had predicted. Daniel failed to qualify for the main draw tournament this week in Rotterdam. However, with several players withdrawing from the tournament, Daniel entered the main draw as a lucky loser. In the opening round, he won against Kovacevic after losing the first set 1-6. In the second round, Altmaier defeated Fils in three tight sets today.

Alex de Minaur won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Melbourne, Alex reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, losing against Sinner in straight sets as we predicted. Last week, Alex helped Australia get the win against Sweden, winning against Mikael Ymer.  In the opening round, as we predicted, de Minaur won against Goffin in straight sets. He saved all three breakpoints and was great under pressure. Today, in the second round, Alex won comfortably against Mensik in straight sets, not offering any breakpoints. Last year in Rotterdam, Alex finished as a runner-up, losing against Sinner in the final in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, de Minaur is the big favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Alex has been playing great since the beginning of the season. He is a way better indoor hardcourt player than Altmaier, and we expect him to dominate from the start.

That being said, de Minaur covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Rublev – Hurkacz: 07.02.2025
H2H: 2-3

Andrey Rublev has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Melbourne, Rublev lost in the opening round of the Australian Open against Fonseca. Last week in Montpellier, Andrey reached the semifinals, losing against Kovacevic in straight sets. This week in Rotterdam, in the opening round, Andrey defeated Zhang in straight sets, as we predicted. Today, in the second round, Andrey won against Marozsan after winning two tight tiebreaks, as we had predicted. In 2021, Andrey won the title in Rotterdam, winning against Fucsovics in the final. Last season, Rublev reached the quarterfinals, losing against de Minaur in three tight sets.

Hubert Hurkacz has won three of his last five matches. At the beginning of the season, Hubert played in the United Cup. He lost the first two matches. However, after that, Hurkacz won consecutive matches and brought Poland to the finals, where they faced the USA. At the Australian Open, Hubert lost against Kecmanovic in the second round. In the opening round of the ATP Rotterdam, Hurkacz won against Cobolli in straight sets, as we had predicted. Yesterday, in the second round, Lehecka retired after losing the first set 5-7 against Hurkacz. Last year in Rotterdam, Hurkacz lost in the second round against Griekspoor in three tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this will be a 50-50 match. Both players played and served well throughout this week. We expect a very tight match with possible tiebreaks.

That being said, over games is a value bet.
