Bertola – Lock: 26.11.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Remy Bertola has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Bertola competed in an ITF tournament in Greece, where he reached the final. He lost in the final against Debru in three tight sets. Last week in Sao Paulo, Bertola lost his opening-round match against Ficovich in straight sets. Remy is a solid hard-court player who had the most significant results on the ITF level. This week, he seeks a solid result to cement his top 300 status. Bertola competed in Kuwait at the ITF level last year.
Benjamin Lock has won five straight matches. Last week in Mexico, he won the ITF title. En route to the title, Benjamin faced only one top 1000 player. He played that tournament only to gain confidence back and get momentum going into the last tournaments of the season. So far this season, Lock has also had his biggest results at the ITF level. He is an all-around player who can compete on both clay and hard courts.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Bertola is the slight favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Bertola is in better form right now despite Lock winning the ITF tournament recently. Lock struggled against the players ranked outside the top 1000 and showed no improvement in his game. We believe that Remy will dominate in this match and win easily.
That being said, Bertola winning in straight sets is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Remy Bertola winning 2-0 @2.20 @bet365

Sakellaridis – Barrios Vera: 26.11.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Stefanos Sakellaridis has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Stefanos competed in his home country at the ITF level tournament, losing in the opening round. Here in Temuco, Sakellaridis successfully qualified for the main draw tournament. In the first qualifying round, Stefanos struggled against Romboli, ranked outside the top 1300. In the final qualifying round, Paz retired mid-match against him.
Tomas Barrios Vera has won three of his last five matches. The Chilean used to compete at the highest level but is now seeking his opportunity at the Challenger Tour level. Last week in Sao Paulo, Barrios Vera reached the semifinals, losing against Tirante in tight straight sets. His last big title was winning the Challenger tournament in Amersfoort. He rarely plays on hard courts like this one and has had all of his most significant results on clay.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Barrios Vera is the big favorite in this matchup, and we agree with that. Even though he is a clay court specialist, Tomas is still a way better player than Stefanos. We expect him to win this match easily and to go deep this week here in Chile. Sakellaridis never had any success at the Challenger Tour level.
That said, Barrios Vera covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Tomas Barrios Vera -4.5 games handicap @1.91 @bet365
