Jannik Sinner – 2024 Season Recap And 2025 Predictions

Jannik Sinner celebrates.

Jannik Sinner was sensational in 2024. The young Italian was the best and most consistent player throughout the season. Many doubted his fitness and endurance, and that was the main area where he improved the most this season.

2024 Season Recap

Jannik started this season by winning his first-ever Grand Slam title in Australia after being 0-2 down against Medvedev in the final. It felt like after winning his first Grand Slam title, Jannik no longer had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Later, Jannik became a new world number 1 in the rankings. He then proceeded to win his first title on grass, which was in Halle.

After having a great US Summer swing, Jannik also had a tough doping case where the world started questioning his loyalty to the sport. Sinner was calm and handled the pressure well, ignoring all the noise on and off the court. He was used to being a fan of the crowd, but things have turned around quickly. Jannik kept playing his best tennis and showed his best tennis in New York, where he won the 2nd Grand Slam title of his young career. Jannik defeated Fritz in the final in straight sets and was just dominant throughout the whole tournament.

Last week in Turin, Sinner dominated against everyone in the ATP Finals and once again defeated Fritz in the final. He became the first-ever Italian champion of the Nitto ATP Finals and has done that in Turin, in front of his own fans.

That being said, Jannik is only 23 years old and already has a season where he won 8 ATP titles, two Grand Slam titles and became a world number 1.  The best part of it is that Jannik still has a chance to crown this season with the Davis Cup title. He is representing Italy who awaits their semifinal clash against Australia.

2025 Grand Slam Predictions

Jannik needs to stay fit and focused in 2025 if he wants to have a similar success that he had this season. According to the bookies, Jannik will be the biggest favorite to win the Australian Open at the beginning of the season, and we agree with that.

The bookies are also giving him decent chances to win the French Open as well, but we believe that Carlos Alcaraz will show his clay-court dominance, and win his second Roland Garros title.

The top 3 favorites at Wimbledon are Carlos, Jannik, and Novak, in that particular order. We believe that Novak, considering his age and motivation, will not win another Grand Slam title. 2025 Wimbledon will be a fight between Alcaraz and Sinner that could go either way.

The US Open will be another Grand Slam where Jannik, Carlos, and Novak are expected to have the same chances to win the title. As we already mentioned, we believe that Novak will win no more Grand Slam titles. This should be another tournament where Jannik and Carlos will fight for the title.

We believe that Jannik will win at least two Grand Slam titles next season. However, if Alcaraz gets injured and Jannik stays fit, we could even see him winning the Calendar Slam. Besides Alcaraz, we are not sure who else could stop him in a Grand Slam tournament.
