ATP Metz Best Bets Including Mannarino vs Bu

Adrian Mannarino National Bank Open

ATP 250 Metz 1/16-Finals

Guinard – Bergs: 05.11.2024 13:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Manuel Guinard has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Brest, Guinard lost his opening match at the challenger tournament against Jakub Paul in straight sets. Here in Metz, Manuel failed to qualify for the main-draw tournament. However, with several players withdrawing from the tournament, Guinard entered the main-draw tournament as a lucky loser. The Frenchman has been competing at the challenger tour level for the most time. He is lurking around the top 250 in the world.

Zizou Bergs has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Bergs lost his second round match against Mannarino in three tight sets, after winning the first set. A few weeks ago on home soil in Antwerp, Bergs reached his first quarterfinal result of the season on the main tour. With such a performance, Zizou reached his highest ranking of 61 in the world. Bergs enjoys playing on the indoor courts such as this one. Last year around this time, Bergs played at the challenger tour level.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Bergs is the big favorite in this matchup, and we agree with that. Zizou is having his breakthrough season. He is currently a more experienced player than Guinard, so we expect him to dominate in this matchup.

That being said, Bergs winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Mannarino – Bu: 05.11.2024 15:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Adrian Mannarino has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Adrian reached the 1/8-Finals, when he fell short against Thompson in straight sets as we predicted. Mannarino struggled throughout the whole season, resulting in him dropping outside the top 50 in the rankings. Last year around this time, the Frenchman played outstanding tennis, winning two titles in Astana and Sofia under similar conditions. Mannarino never had any success here in Metz.

Yunchaokete Bu has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Bu failed to qualify for the main-draw tournament, losing against Halys in the final qualifying round. But he is hoping for a solid result this week to get into the top 70 in the rankings. During the Asian swing, Yunchaokete had his biggest results. His biggest result of the season was reaching the semifinals in Beijing, where he lost against Sinner in straight sets. Other than that, Bu had a decent amount of success at the challenger tour level.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Both players are currently struggling with their form. However, this has probably been the worst season for Mannarino. On the other hand, Bu had a couple of decent wins this season, so we believe that he will be more confident coming into this match. We expect Bu to be a better player tomorrow, and to get the job done against Mannarino.

That being said, Bu winning is a value bet.
