ATP Stockholm Best Bets Including Paul vs Kecmanovic

Tommy Paul in action ahead of the ATP Dallas Open.

ATP 250 Stockholm quarterfinals

Griekspoor – Ruud: 18.10.2024 18:30 CEST
H2H: 1-2

Tallon Griekspoor has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Griekspoor reached the third round, where he lost against Zverev in three tight sets. Here in Stockholm, Griekspoor won his opening match against Kotov in straight sets. After that, in the 1/8-Finals, Griekspoor defeated Fearnley in straight sets yet again. Griekspoor is serving great this week. He scored only three breakpoints in his first two matches. Last year in Stockholm, Griekspoor reached the quarterfinals, where he lost against Kotov in straight sets.

Casper Ruud has lost four of his last five matches. This is the least favorite part of the season for the Norwegian, who never had any success on the indoor courts. Two weeks ago in Shanghai, Casper lost against Vukic in straight sets. Casper was terrible under pressure, and could not keep up with the pace of the surface. Here in Stockholm, Casper won his opening match against Sonego in straight sets. Last year around this time, Casper played in Basel, where he lost his second round match against Stricker in three tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Casper is the slight favorite in this matchup. In his opening match, Casper served well, not offering any breakpoints. However, we believe that Tallon will be a better player under these conditions, and we expect him to win this match.

That being said, Griekspoor winning is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Tallon Griekspoor winning @2.20 @bet365

Paul – Kecmanovic: 18.10.2024 12:00 CEST
H2H: 1-4

Tommy Paul has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Tommy lost in the 1/8-Finals against Machac as we predicted. It was a tight match, but Machac played his best tennis, and looked unstoppable in that match. Here in Stockholm, Paul won his opening match against Djere in straight sets. Tommy is fighting for a spot in the ATP Finals, so he needs a strong finish in the upcoming tournaments. During his debut main draw campaign in 2021, Tommy claimed his maiden ATP title in Stockholm.

Miomir Kecmanovic has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Kecmanovic lost in the second round of the tournament against Popyrin in straight sets. Here in Stockholm, Miomir defeated Norrie in straight sets as we predicted. After that, in the 1/8-Finals, Miomir won against Jarry as we predicted. So far this season, Miomir has not had any remarkable results, which led to him being outside the top 50 in the rankings. Last year in Stockholm, Kecmanovic reached the semifinals, where he lost against Kotov in straight sets. He loves to play under fast conditions such as this one.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Tommy is the big favorite in this matchup. Miomir played solidly this week in Stockholm. We believe that he will have a decent chance against Paul, and at least keep this match tight.

That being said, Kecmanovic winning at least one set is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Miomir Kecmanovic +1.5 sets @1.75 @bet365
