After that, in the second round, Shevchenko upset Cerundolo in straight sets. Shevchenko had his biggest results this season on clay. He usually underperforms on the fast courts such as this one.

According to the bookies, Mensik is the slight favorite in this matchup. He will be fully confident coming into this matchup, after winning against Rublev in the second round. Shevchenko has had a favorable draw so far, but we believe that he will be stopped by Mensik tomorrow.

Alexander Zverev has won three of his last five matches. The last tournament he played before Shanghai was the Laver Cup. Zverev won, and lost one singles match against the Americans. Here in Shanghai, Zverev dominated in his opening match against Bellucci. It was another great serving performance from the German, offering only one breakpoint in the whole match. Last year in Shanghai, Zverev was upset by Safiullin in the opening round. Alexander played poorly, winning only four games against the Russian.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Zverev is the big favorite in this matchup. Griekspoor had some solid results this season against the top players. Last year in Rotterdam, under similar conditions, Griekspoor defeated Zverev. We believe that he will keep this match tight, and even have a chance against Alexander.
