He has already won three challenger titles this season on the hard courts, and played two finals as well. The young Chinese is one of the biggest Chinese talents right now.
Lorenzo Musetti has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Chengdu, Lorenzo reached the final, where he lost against Shang in straight sets as we predicted. Here in Beijing, Lorenzo defeated Bergs in three tight sets as we predicted. Musetti is still a top 20 player, and he is looking for some decent results in the next couple of weeks to cement his top 20 status. So far this season, Musetti has not had any remarkable results on the hard courts. Lorenzo is yet to win a title this season. Last year in Beijing, Musetti reached the second round, where he lost against Carlos Alcaraz.

According to the bookies, Musetti is the favorite in this matchup. Bu played great tennis last week and today in his opening match against Shang. He will have the crowd on his side, so we believe that he will keep this match tight.

Flavio Cobolli has won three of his last five matches. Last week, Cobolli represented Italy in the Davis Cup, where he won and lost one match. Here in Beijing, Flavio defeated Bublik in three tight sets as we predicted. Cobolli had his biggest results at the beginning of the season, which made him a top 40 player. Flavio had solid results on every single surface throughout the whole season. This will be his first Asian swing. Playing in the previous years at the challenger tour level, Cobolli skipped the Asian swing, so he does not have any points to defend here.
Pavel Kotov has won three of his last five matches. Here in Beijing, Kotov successfully qualified for the main-draw tournament. Yesterday, in the opening main-draw match, Pavel defeated Zhou in three tight sets. After losing the first set 1-6, Kotov stepped up his level and turned the match around.

According to the bookies, Cobolli is the slight favorite in this matchup. We believe that he is currently a better player than Kotov. Flavio showed solid tennis against Bublik in his opening match, and we believe that he will continue in that fashion.
