Jack Draper – Sebastian Baez
Jack and Sebastian are the best ranked players for Great Britain and Argentina. This meeting will be played indoors on hard. Jack loves to play on the fast indoor hard courts. Draper is playing his best tennis at the moment. He reached the semifinals at the US Open last week, where he lost against Sinner in straight sets. On the other hand, Baez had his biggest results on clay. He usually underperformed on fast surfaces such as this one. Sebastian retired against Griekspoor in the second round at the US Open. In his opening match against Canada, Baez lost against Auger-Aliassime in straight sets as we predicted.
That being said, we believe that Jack Draper is a way better hard court player than Baez, and that he will win this match easily.
We believe that Draper will get the first win for Great Britain.

2nd potential matchup:
Billy Harris – Francisco Cerundolo
Billy and Francisco are the second best ranked players for Great Britain and Argentina. Harris has been playing consistently throughout the whole season. He is looking to get into the top 100 in the rankings. Billy had his best results on the grass courts. He loves to play fast tennis, so this should be a perfect surface for him. Harris won his opening match at the Davis Cup against Virtanen in straight sets. On the other hand, Cerundolo won his first round match in New York, but failed in the second round against Etcheverry. Francisco did not have any remarkable results this season on hard courts. Being an Argentine, Cerundolo spent most of his career playing on the clay courts. Cerundolo lost his opening match against Shapovalov as we predicted.
That being said, we believe that Harris will be a better player on the indoor hard court tomorrow. Even though he is not in his best form, Harris is still a better indoor hard court player than Cerundolo. We believe that he will get the second win for Great Britain.
3rd potential matchup:
Evans/Skupski – Gonzalez/Molteni
We expect Canada and Argentina to play their doubles like this. Gonzalez and Molteni reached the quarterfinals of the US Open. They are very solid doubles partners, and they can play on any surface. Evans and Skupski lost in their opening match against Heliovaara and Virtanen in straight sets. Their chemistry seemed off in that match.
That being said, we believe that Gonzalez and Molteni are currently better doubles players than Evans and Skupski.
We believe that they will win this match, and get the first win for Argentina.
Best Bet to Make
We believe that Great Britain has better singles players than Argentina. Draper and Harris are always dangerous on the fast courts, so we trust them to win their singles matches. Unfortunately for them, the Brits are not on the same level in the doubles. Argentina will win their doubles match, but that should not be important if the Brits win both their singles matches.
That being said, Great Britain winning 2-1 is a value bet.
