In the third round, Navarro worked hard against Kostyuk, winning in three tight sets. Emma upset Coco Gauff in the 1/8-Finals of the tournament. Navarro won against Coco just two months ago at Wimbledon as well. With those two wins against Gauff, Navarro showed us that she is ready for the biggest stage.

According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Badosa always underperformed here in New York. This is her biggest result at the US Open so far. On the other hand, Navarro loves to play at home, in the States. She played great tennis against Gauff, so we believe that she will continue in that fashion, and win tonight.
That being said, Navarro winning is a value bet.

After that, in the second round, Zheng won against Andreeva in three sets, after losing the first set. Her third round match was the easiest so far, winning against Niemeier 6-2 6-1. In the 1/8-Finals, we watched the rematch of the Olympic final. Zheng defeated Vekic in three tight sets.
Aryna Sabalenka has won her last 10 matches. Before the US Open, Sabalenka defeated Pegula in the Cincinnati final. Here in New York, Sabalenka lost only one set en route to the quarterfinals. Her toughest match was in the third round against Alexandrova. Aryna lost the first set 2-6, but stayed calm and turned the match around. In the 1/8-Finals, Sabalenka dominated against Mertens, winning in easy straight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Sabalenka is the big favorite in this matchup. Zheng has had an amazing season so far, so we believe that she will have her chances against Sabalenka. They played against each other this year in the Australian Open final. Aryna won that match in straight sets. However, Zheng has improved a lot since that match, so we think that she will keep this match tight.
