Alcaraz ahead of 2023 French Open

ATP Olympic Games quarterfinals

Paul – Alcaraz: 01.08.2024 13:30 CEST
H2H: 2-3

Tommy Paul has won four of his last five matches. The last match he played before the Olympic Games was at Wimbledon, where he lost against Alcaraz in four sets. After that, Tommy took some time off to rest his body and prepare for the Olympic Games. Here in Paris, Tommy won his first round match against Darderi in straight sets as we predicted. His experience prevailed, and he was overall a better player on the court. In the second round, Tommy dominated against Mensik in straight sets. Today, Paul played great tennis once again, winning against Moutet in straight sets in the 1/8-Finals. So far this season, Paul has not had any remarkable results on clay.

Carlos Alcaraz has won ten straight matches. Just two weeks ago, Carlos lifted his second Wimbledon title, winning against Djokovic in the final as we predicted. Alcaraz played outstanding tennis throughout the whole tournament. Here in Paris, Carlos won his first round match against Habin in straight sets. It was an easy match for Carlos. After that, in the second round, Carlos defeated Griekspoor in straight sets once again. Today, Safiullin put up the fight in the first set. However, Carlos won once again in straight sets. Here at the Olympic Games, Alcaraz is the biggest favorite to lift the title in the end.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Alcaraz is the big favorite in this matchup. Tommy has had a great tournament so far. He is yet to lose a set in the tournament. He has already won twice against Carlos, so we believe that he will be able to keep this match tight.

That being said, Paul covering the games handicap is a value bet.
