ATP Olympic Games Best Bets Including Medvedev vs Ofner

Daniil Medvedev in action ahead of the ATP Monte Carlo Masters.

ATP Olympic Games 1/16-Finals

Mensik – Paul: 30.07.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting

Jakub Mensik has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Umag, Mensik reached the semifinals where he lost against Musetti in straight sets. En route to the semifinal, Jakub did not lose a single set. Here in Paris, Mensik won his first round match against Shevchenko in straight sets. Jakub served solidly throughout the match, losing his serve only once. So far this season on clay, Mensik has not have any remarkable results. However, he had a lot of solid performances against the top 30 players.

Tommy Paul has won four of his last five matches. The last match he played before the Olympic Games was at Wimbledon, where he lost against Alcaraz in four sets. After that, Tommy took some time off to rest his body and prepare for the Olympic Games. Here in Paris, Tommy won his first round match against Darderi in straight sets as we predicted. His experience prevailed, and he was overall a better player on the court. Tommy lost his serve at the beginning of the match, but after that, he stayed calm and turned the match around. So far this season, Paul has not have any remarkable results on clay.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Paul is the favorite in this matchup. Jakub loves to play on the biggest stage, so we believe that he will have a decent chance against Paul tomorrow. Mensik played great tennis in the first round, so we believe that he will keep this match tight.

That being said, Mensik covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Ofner – Medvedev: 30.07.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Sebastian Ofner has lost four of his last five matches. The Austrian has been struggling a lot with his form recently. His last clay court win before the Olympic Games was at the French Open, where he won against Baez in the second round. Here in Paris, Ofner had an easy draw. He faced Robin Haase in the first round, who had played only two competitive singles matches this season. Sebastian won that match in straight sets, but did not perform well against out-of-form Haase.

Daniil Medvedev has won four of his last five matches. After he lost against Alcaraz at Wimbledon in the semifinals as we predicted, Daniil took some time off to prepare for the Olympic Games. Here in Paris, Daniil won his first round match against Hijikata in easy straight sets. Medvedev lost his serve once in the match, but other than that, Daniil played solid tennis.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Medvedev is the big favorite in this matchup. Ofner is in terrible form, so we believe that he will have no chance against Daniil. Even though Medvedev does not love to play on clay, we still believe that he will win easily against Ofner.

That being said, Medvedev covering the games handicap is a value bet.
