Mattia Bellucci has won four of her last five matches. Here in Atlanta, Bellucci fought through the qualifying tournament and got into the main-draw. In the first main-draw round, Vukic retired against him mid-match. After that, in the second round, Mattia won against Mannarino in three tight sets. It was a long and exhausting match, but Bellucci looked fit throughout the whole match.

According to the bookies, Rinderknech is the favorite in this matchup. He is a much more experienced player at the highest level than Bellucci.
