According to the bookies, Griekspoor is the favorite in this matchup. Tallon played a solid French Open tournament. We believe that he is overall a better and more experienced clay court player than Skatov.

Rafael Nadal has lost three of his last five matches. Something we do not see often is Nadal playing at the ATP 250 tournament. Nadal skipped the grass court part of the season to prevent his body from further injuries and to rest for the second part of the season. Here in Bastad, Nadal defeated Borg in tight straight sets as we predicted. Two weeks ago at the French Open, Nadal lost against Zverev in the first round as we predicted. So far this season, Nadal has played only 10 clay court matches and has a winning 6-4 record. He is looking to get some wins here in Bastad to regain his confidence.
Cameron Norrie has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago at Wimbledon, Norrie lost against Zverev in tight straight sets as we predicted. Here in Bastad, Norrie defeated Kovalik in straight sets. He did not offer any breakpoints, and served well throughout the match. So far this season, Norrie has not had any remarkable results on clay.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Norrie is the slight underdog in this matchup. Nadal did not look great in his first round performance against Borg. He is still far away from his best level. On the other hand, Norrie had a solid first round performance, and looked comfortable on the court. We believe that Cameron is currently a better player than Nadal.
That being said, Norrie winning is a value bet.
