So far this season, Thiago has had some solid performances at the ATP tour level. Earlier this season in Madrid, Thiago reached the third round as a qualifier. After that, Monteiro reached the 1/8-Finals in Rome, once again as a qualifier.

According to the bookies, Monteiro is the huge underdog in this matchup. Casper is one of the best clay court players on the tour right now. However, Monteiro had a great first round performance, so we believe that he will keep this match tight.

Andrey Rublev has lost three of his last five matches. Andrey has been struggling a lot with his mental issues. He is the defending champion here in Bastad, so he should hope to get back to the winning runs here in Bastad. The last match he played was at Wimbledon, where he was upset by Comesana in the first round. His last clay court match was at the French Open where he lost against Arnaldi in the third round of the tournament. Last year in Bastad, Rublev dropped only one set on his title run.
Thiago Agustin Tirante has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Salzburg, Tirante lost in the second round against Neumayer in straight sets. Here in Bastad, Tirante lost the first set against Faria. However, Thiago played a way better tennis later in the match and won deservingly in three sets. So far this season, Tirante has played one challenger final, and also won one challenger title on clay.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Rublev is the big favorite in this matchup. We believe that he will play without any pressure here. Overall, Andrey is a way better player than Tirante, and we believe that he will win this match easily.
