Being called “baby Federer”, everyone thought that Dimitrov would dominate on grass courts. However, his best result was reaching the semifinals in 2014. Last year at Wimbledon, Dimitrov reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against Holger Rune in four tight sets.
Dusan Lajovic has lost four of his last five matches. With his current poor form, Dusan is no longer in the top 50. After losing against Taylor Fritz in the second round of the ATP French Open, Dusan played only two exhibition matches on grass. He usually avoids playing on grass, as his backhand needs a lot of preparation time. The last competitive match on grass that he played was last year at Wimbledon, where he lost in the first round against Jan Choinski in four sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Dimitrov is the big favorite in this matchup. Both players did not play many matches on grass this season. However, Grigor is a way better grass court player than Dusan. In these conditions, Lajovic will struggle a lot, so we expect Grigor to take care of the business.
That being said, Dimitrov covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Matteo Berrettini has won three of his last five matches. Berrettini is one of the best grass court players. Unfortunately, the injuries ruined his last two seasons. Two weeks ago, Berrettini reached the final in Stuttgart where he lost against Jack Draper in three tight sets. After that, Berrettini was upset by Giron in the 1/8-Finals of the ATP Halle. Looking at his previous Wimbledon appearances, Berrettini always played his best tennis at Wimbledon. Last year at Wimbledon, Berrettini lost against Carlos Alcaraz in the 1/8-Finals.
Marton Fucsovics has lost three of his last five matches. The last match that he played was at the French Open, where he lost in the first round against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Marton has not played any grass court tournaments this season. However, he had some solid performances last year on grass. Fucsovics reached the third round last year at Wimbledon, where he was stopped by Medvedev in four tight sets. Before that, Fucsovics reached the semifinals in Stuttgart as well.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Berrettini is the big favorite in this matchup. However, Marton is a very solid grass court player. We are also not sure if Matteo is fit enough for possibly four or five sets. We believe that Fucsovics will keep this match tight.
That being said, Fucsovics covering the games handicap is a value bet.
