ATP 250 Eastbourne 1/8-Finals
Ruusuvuori – Shang: 26.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Emil Ruusuvuori has lost three out of the last five matches. The young Finn is in terrible form. Now that the clay court season is over, we believe that Emil will get back to his winning runs. Here in Eastbourne, Ruusuvouri won his first round match against Cameron Norrie as we predicted. The last match he played before that was three weeks ago in Surbiton. Ruusuvuori lost there in the first round against Shimabukuro. Last year in Eastbourne, Emil lost in the first round against Barrere in three sets.
Juncheng Shang has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Shang reached the quarterfinals at the challenger tournament in Nottingham. Here in Eastbourne, Shang fought through the qualifying tournament. In the first qualifying round, Shang defeated Otte in three sets, while hitting 33 winners with just 16 unforced errors. After that, Shang won against Hussey in the final qualifying round. In the first round, Shang defeated Etcheverry as we predicted. Shang did not play many matches on grass, but he has a winning record on it. He looks comfortable playing on grass, and his tennis fits the surface perfectly.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Looking at their first round match, Ruusuvuori showed better tennis than Shang. Emil had a tough grass court opponent, and was able to win in straight sets.
That being said, Ruusuvuori winning the match is a value bet.

Kecmanovic – Baez: 26.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Miomir Kecmanovic has lost three of his last five matches. The young Serbian is completely out of form, and is now outside the top 50 in the rankings. Last week, Kecmanovic lost against Sonego in the first round of the ATP Halle. Here in Eastbourne, Miomir won his first round match against Zhang confidently in straight sets. So far this season, Kecmanovic has a losing 1-2 record on grass. Last year in Eastbourne, Kecmanovic lost in the quarterfinals against Barrere.
Sebastian Baez has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in London, Baez was defeated by Tommy Paul in straight sets. The young Argentinian is in the top 20 player just because of the clay court season. On the faster surfaces, Baez struggles a lot. Sebastian has only played 11 matches on grass so far in his career and has a losing 3-8 record. Last year in Eastbourne, Baez lost against Tommy Paul yet again in the second round of the tournament.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Kecmanovic is the favorite in this matchup. Looking at his first round performance, we believe that he will dominate against Baez from the very start. Baez has only won three matches on grass throughout his career. Miomir is just a slight favorite, so there is definitely value.
That being said, Kecmanovic winning the match is a value bet.
