ATP Queen’s Final Prediction: Tommy Paul vs Lorenzo Musetti

Lorenzo Musetti in action ahead of the ATP Sofia Open.

The 32-man draw at ATP Queen’s has been dwindled to two as Tommy Paul and Lorenzo Musetti square off for the the 500-level title in London. This will be the first meeting between the American and the Italian as they look to secure the most prestigious non-Wimbledon grass title of the season. As always, we at LWOT have the preview and prediction for the final. Who do you think will raise the title?

ATP Queen’s Final Prediction

Tommy Paul vs Lorenzo Musetti

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Tommy Paul has been playing the best tennis of his career over the last 18 months. He is a win on Sunday away from claiming the No. 1 ranked American spot for the first time in his career. At ATP Queen’s, Paul has dropped just one set in four wins over top 31 ranked players en route to his second career grass-court final. The 27-year-old is playing with extreme confidence.

Lorenzo Musetti has had an up-and-down season but is really coming into his own on the grass. The 22-year-old Italian is 7-1 on the surface over the past two weeks as he seeks his first tour-level title since Oct. 2022.

Paul has always been a solid grass-court player, holding a 19-11 tour-level record on the surface over his professional career. He does well with redirecting pace and has elite agility that allows him to quickly change directions and keep points alive. Musetti’s one-handed backhand has been brilliant to watch this week, but I trust the American’s ability to dig from the corners. I expect Paul’s level to rise in the biggest moments as he secures the first 500-level title of his career at ATP Queen’s.

Prediction: Paul in 2
