ATP Queen’s Best Bets Including Musetti vs Nakashima

Brandon Nakashima in action ahead of the ATP Chengdu Open.

ATP 500 Queen’s 1/8-Finals

Nakashima – Musetti: 19.06.2024 11:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Brandon Nakashima has won four of his last five matches. Last week, Brandon reached the semifinals in Stuttgart where he lost against Jack Draper in straight sets, who went on to win the whole tournament. En route to the semifinals, Brandon won all of his matches in straight sets, and showed great tennis. Here in London, Dan Evans retired mid-match against Nakashima, so Nakashima proceeded to the second round without having to play the third set against Dan. Last year in Halle, Brandon lost in the second round against Bautista-Agut.

Lorenzo Musetti has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Stuttgart, Lorenzo reached the semifinals where he lost against Matteo Berrettini in straight sets. En route to the semifinals, Lorenzo had some solid wins. Here in London, Lorenzo upset Alex de Minaur in the first round in straight sets. Alex de Minaur won the title last week in Hertogenbosch, winning against Korda in the final in straight sets. De Minaur looked tired, and Lorenzo stayed calm and finished the job. Last year in London, Musetti lost in the quarterfinals against Holger Rune.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Nakashima is the slight underdog in this matchup. We believe that Brandon is overall a better grass court player than Musetti, and that he should win this match comfortably. The reason why the odds are like this is just because Musetti upset de Minaur in the first round.

That being said, Nakashima winning is a value bet.

Tabilo – Paul: 19.06.2024 11:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Alejandro Tabilo has won three of his last five matches. The Chilean had some solid matches on grass throughout his career. This was his first grass court tournament of the season. In the first round here in London, Tabilo won against Davidovich Fokina in three tough sets. Alejandro served great, getting 14 aces. His overall was also on point, hitting 29 winners with only 9 unforced errors. Tabilo only lost his serve once against Fokina.

Tommy Paul has won three of his last five matches. Last week, Paul reached the quarterfinals in Hertogenbosch where he lost against Sebastian Korda in straight sets. Here in London, Paul won today against Sebastian Baez in straight sets. It was overall a low-quality match. Paul offered 8 breakpoints, but managed to save 7 of them. Last year in London, Paul lost against Francisco Cerundolo in the first round. Just one week after that, Cerundolo lost in the Eastbourne final yet again against Cerundolo.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Paul is the favorite in this matchup. Looking at his first round performance and last week’s performance in Hertogenbosch, we can not agree with that. Tabilo loves to play fast tennis with his big serve. We believe that he will have a decent chance tomorrow against Paul.

That being said, Tabilo winning is a value bet.
