ATP Halle Day 2 Predictions Including Andrey Rublev vs Marcos Giron

Marcos Giron National Bank Open

Big names Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev are in action on day 2 at ATP Halle, we have your predictions for every match of this grass court showdown.

Andrey Rublev vs Marcos Giron

24-11 on the year, 19-9 in his career on grass, Andrey Rublev will have high hopes for the grass court season, and he’s 2-0 in his career against Giron. Giron is 12-16 on the season, 8-13 in his career on grass, the American is capable of playing on faster surfaces and taking the short ball, but crisp volleys alone is probably not enough to dislodge Rublev in this match. The Russian should get off to a winning start. Rublev in 2

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Henri Squire

Tsitsipas is 28-11 on the year, and 20-16 on grass in his career. Squite has won a challenger and reached a challenger final this year, the local German player is a former NCAA player at Wake Forest who has been rising up the rankings. He comes off his first major main draw win at Roland Garros as well and should put up a good fight against the Greek superstar. Tsitsipas will get through but Squire should acquit himself well. Joao Fonseca vs James Duckworth

Duckworth comes off two qualifying wins and was a quarterfinalist in Stuttgart, the veteran Aussie has been good below the ATP level on the challenger tour this year and has the game that is well suited for a quick surface. Fonseca is at a career high ranking, the 17 year old is rising quickly, he won two matches on grass in two consecutive challengers, Duckworth isn’t a world beater, and Fonseca is talented, but winning this match is probably too much to ask right now.
