ATP Halle Day 2 Predictions Including Alexander Zverev vs Oscar Otte

Alexander Zverev in action at Wimbledon.

The opening day of ATP 500 action in Halle saw big guns Hubert Hurcakz and Daniil Medvedev breeze through to the last 16. Tuesday will see the rest of the first round matches. With the likes of Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrentini, and Christopher Eubanks all in action; will they jump over or fall at the first hurdle?

ATP Halle Day 2 Predictions

Matteo Berrettini vs Alex Michelsen

Head to Head : 0-0

Berrentini seems to be finding some range on the grass courts again after the past couple of seasons which have been filled with injury frustrations. This won’t be an easy contest though as the American’s serving will make him a tough opponent for anyone on the grass. Nonetheless, it will be last week’s runner-up in Stuggart who will continue to make progress and build confidence ahead of Wimbledon.
Prediction: Berrettini in 3

Christopher Eubanks vs Pedro Martinez

Head to Head: 1-0
Last season’s craze and Wimbledon quarterfinalist has seen results somewhat plummet after such an incredible campaign. Despite his big stature, he possesses a game that is baseline dominant. His single-handed backhand is a thing of beauty and works especially well on the lawn court. Martinez is a solid competitor who will run down every ball thrown his way. However, his record on grass is less than inspiring having only made the third round of Wimbledon once and was knocked out at the first stage of qualifying last season. Eubanks will be the man who remains standing.
Prediction: Eubanks in 2

Alexander Zverev v Oscar Otte

Head to Head: 1-0
The home crowd derby takes place and in truth, this should be of relative ease for Alexander Zverev. So attuned on all three surfaces, despite grass being his weakest, he will still go into this year’s Wimbledon as one of the favourites after a mightily impressive Roland Garros. His opponent Otte is unorthodox with his incredibly low ball toss in a rather unusual serve and has enjoyed some decent grass campaigns throughout his career but will suffer greatly on Tuesday.
Prediction: Zverev in 2
